This weightlifting and fitness class was designed to provide each student an opportunity to continue their knowledge and understanding of strength and fitness training principles. Students will understand the importance of setting goals for personal improvement and achievement, and will leave the class with a lifelong understanding of how to maintain adequate physical fitness for a healthy lifestyle. They will accomplish this by spending 5 days a week in the Fitness Center and developing a workout plan that focuses on the 9 areas of fitness. The majority of class activity will be designed and carried out by the individual student under the supervision of the instructor. This class will also incorporate the use of video technology in the evaluation of lifting techniques.
