Wisconsin Forward Exam - grades 3-8, 10
The Forward Exam is an online assessment administered in the spring of each year. Students in grades 3 through 8 are given the English language arts and mathematics assessment, students in grades 4 and 8 test in science, and students in grades 4, 8, and 10 take the social studies assessment. The Forward Exam will be administered between March 28 and April 29, 2022.

Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) - grades 3-11
The DLM™ assessment measures the academic progress of students with significant cognitive disabilities in the subject areas of ELA and Mathematics at grades 3-11, Science at grades 4 and 8 - 11, and in Social Studies at grades 4, 8, and 10. The DLM Is Administered in the Spring of each year. The 2020-22 test window for the DLM is March 28 through April 29, 2022.

PreACT Secure - grades 9 and 10
The PreACT Secure is a summative assessments given to ninth and tenth grade students that is aligned to the ACT and measures student progress toward college and career readiness content areas of English, math, reading, and science. PreACT Secure is administered in the spring of the school year, online with multiple question types including multiple-choice, constructed response, and technology-enhanced items and is capable of predicting outcomes on the ACT. The 2023-24 state-wide administration of the ACT Aspire is scheduled from March 18 to April 26, 2024.

ACT Plus Writing - grade 11
The ACT is a standard assessment used to help students understand how they can improve their career readiness skills and helps employers determine whether individuals are qualified for positions. The 2023 administration of the ACT Exam is scheduled for March.

Civics Graduation Exam - grade 9 and above
Wisconsin statute requires that any students graduating from a Wisconsin high school (starting with the class of 2017) "takes a civics test comprised of 100 questions that are identical to the 100 questions that may be asked of an individual during the process of applying for U.S. citizenship by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and the pupil correctly answers at least 65 of those questions" (Wis. Stat. sec. 118.33(1m)(a)1, Section 3266R). Mount Horeb incorporates this assessment into a student’s freshman year Modern United States History class. The initial test occurs at the end of September each school year. Make-up test dates will be provided at the school level as needed.

Access for English Language Learners (ELLs) - grades K-12
ACCESS for ELLs is an annual assessment of the developing social and academic English language proficiency of English learners (ELs) in grades K through 12. This assessment allows educators, students, and families to monitor students’ progress in acquiring academic English in the domains of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The 2020-21 ACCESS test administration will occur from December 2021 through January 2022.
