Spring, 2019 Please accept my sincere thanks for the $150 you gifted to my 1st grade students. I was hoping to purchase black aprons in time for next year’s students to act as ushers for the many vocal concerts held in the Primary Center gymnasium. To my surprise, not only did the 24 aprons arrive in record time, I was able to find a dear, newly retired friend to donate the fabric and whip up red and white gingham bowties almost overnight. Deb Kabler is our former K-2 librarian and media specialist. Without a second thought she accepted the challenge, creating 24 bowties which would complete the usher uniforms. Her craftsmanship, talent and attention to detail will ensure the end product will be used by young learners for decades! A supportive parent (and an auntie and a grandma) became the team that tacked the completed bowties to each apron. And because of the quick turnaround, my current students acted as ushers for THIS season’s final vocal concert: The Kindergarten Spring Sing. What a long-lasting impact your monetary gift has made! Thank you most sincerely, The Amazing Timeline… Whew! Monday – Aprons ordered on Amazon (Thank you Ellen Lesar and Cindi Krause – P.C. secretaries) Tuesday & Wednesday – 24 bowties are constructed (Thank you Deb Kabler) Thursday – Aprons arrive, volunteers sew on the bowties (Thank you Cindy Esser and extended family) Friday – Finished aprons delivered in time for 2:00 Kindergarten Vocal Concert! ![]() ![]() ![]() Back: Amelia, Jake, Carly, Elton, Reese, Martin, Addison, Cooper, Charlie, Will and Caleb. |
