I am the 8th grade Special Education/Resource Teacher at the middle school. I have been teaching in the Mount Horeb Area School District since the 2015-16 school year. I graduated from UW Madison with my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education in 2007, and completed my Master's Degree in Education in August 2015.

My family is the most important thing in my life.  If you come to visit my classroom, you will see multiple pictures of my husband, my children, and our pets.  In my free time I enjoy photography, playing piano, running, reading, and exploring nature. 

I lead a structured classroom, with clear expectations and consistent consequences.  I believe strongly in Love and Logic principles, and use them with the children I interact with.  I have high expectations for all students,  and I work hard to help them become more independent as they prepare for high school.
