District Registration

Mount Horeb Area School District uses an online registration system. This process will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on the size of your family. If you have questions, please contact our District Registrar, Sierra Bucher.

Registration is currently open for all grades for new families in the 25-26 school year. The Annual Update is available for existing District families at this time.

Registration will open for new families with 1st-12th grade students for the 26-27 School year on January 1st.

Kindergarten registration for new families is open. Please do not register your current District 4K student for Kindergarten. If your student does not attend District 4K, please register them for Kindergarten.

4K registration for 26-27 will open on February 1st.

If you already have a student in the District:

Are you trying to add a new student to your family, OR are you trying to complete the annual update or update athletics/activities for your current MHASD students?

Please log in to the Parent Portal to register or update student information.

If you are NEW to our School District:

Please use this Online Registration Link for New to the District Students/Families. Please click on the link and complete the form. You will receive an enrollment confirmation email once the enrollment process has been completed at the District Office. That email will contain an activation key to create a parent portal login that will be needed to pay fees, see grades, attendance, and report cards.

Kindergarten Registration

Registration for 26-27 Kindergarten for new students will begin on November 26, 2025.

Student currently enrolled:

Please do NOT enroll your child in Kindergarten if your child is currently enrolled in Mount Horeb Area School District's 4K Program. The Kindergarten enrollment for your student will automatically be created in April when we roll forward enrollments. You will be asked during the summer to complete an Annual Update through the Parent Portal.

Student not already enrolled

If you have a child who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2026, and they are not enrolled in our District 4K Program, please use our "New to the District" online registration link.

Enrollment Requirements

You will need to provide: Child's Birth Certificate and Proof of Residency. Proof of residency can be verified by any of the following: signed purchase agreement, rental agreement, payroll stub, utility bill, updated Drivers License or State ID card. These can be emailed to records@mounthorebschools.org if you are unable to upload them directly within the Enrollment Application.

Four-Year-Old Kindergarten Registration

Registration for 4K for 26/27 will open on February 1st, 2026.

If you have other students in your family who already attend MHASD, please log into your Parent Portal account to register your new 4K student. You will click on "more" then "Annual Update or New Students" and select 4K student registration.

If you are a brand new family to the Mount Horeb Area School District, please click on the Online Registration Link above and create a registration for your student(s).

Open Enrollment

The Open Enrollment Application Period is February 3rd - April 30th, 2025 for the 2025-2026 school year.

If you have missed the Open Enrollment period, there is an Alternative to Open Enrollment period that opens July 1.

Act in the Interest of a Child

If you are not a legal guardian and will be the one mostly in contact with the school, please complete the following form so that educational information may be exchanged. This form should be completed each year. Please reach out to Sierra Bucher at buchersierra@mounthorebschools.org for this form and with any questions regarding this form. Thank you.

Clicking the 3 lines at the top left corner will open your menu.
Clicking on fees will allow you to see the fees in your cart. Yearbooks are found under "Optional Payments."
Clicking on Schedule will allow you to see your students' teacher and complete schedule.
Clicking more than Annual Update will allow you to complete your students' registration, and is required prior to Athletic participation and each year for every family.
