Teacher Qualifications

 

Annual Notice of Title I Teacher Qualifications

The Mount Horeb Area School District is committed to hiring and retaining high-quality, licensed educators. All teachers hold at least a bachelor's degree and are licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Under federal law, families may request the below information about the professional qualifications of their child’s classroom teachers.

  • Whether teachers have met state licensing criteria for the grade level(s) and subject area(s) taught.

  • Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or provisional status through which state licensing criteria have been waived.

  • The undergraduate degree major of the teacher, and any graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, including the field of discipline of the certification or degree.

  • If the child is provided services by paraprofessionals, their qualifications.
