Grading and Assessment

Educators within the Mount Horeb Area School District are committed to grading practices that support the learning process, encourage student success, and accurately reflect student progress toward mastery of identified standards and skills. The purpose of the grading system at the Mount Horeb Area School District is to clearly, accurately, consistently, and fairly communicate student learning progress and achievement. Students need to be at the heart of their learning. Therefore, practices and systems are put in place that make students aware and active partners of their learning in order to meet the determined standards for proficiency and achievement.
