Teaching & Learning
|
The Office of Teaching and Learning at Mount Horeb Area School District supports the learning and growth of students and staff. Efforts are continuously made to ensure that students receive a consistent learning experience that also embraces individual growth. Staff members are provided professional development options and pathways to support continuous growth of content area knowledge, instructional strategies, technology advancement, and student social-emotional learning needs. The District mission statement of "Our Future: Prepare. Learn. Lead." is at the heart of what we do in the Mount Horeb Area School District. We want our student and adult learners to love learning and embrace a growth mindset. Therefore, we strive to create an environment in which all learners are healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged. When this happens, students and staff feel valued and empowered to meet and exceed their learning expectations. In order to help prepare our students for life beyond graduation, we believe a well-rounded education encompasses learning experiences in art, health and wellness, music, physical education, technology, and world languages as well as mathematics, reading, science, social studies, and writing. Please reach out with any questions to Sarah Straka, Director of Instruction. |
