Welcome
Mount Horeb Area School District School Nutrition Program provides breakfast and lunch daily at all grade levels. Elementary students are offered a hot or cold lunch option and Middle and High School students are offered additional choices as well as a la carte. All items meet or exceed our District Wellness Policy Guidelines. Check out our new menu site!
Online payments may be made using credit cards or checking accounts through LINQ Connect. A standard transaction fee is charged for using the online payment option. Payments may also be made at any school office at no cost or mailed to MHASD High School, Attn: Jennifer O'Connor, 305 S. 8th Street, Mount Horeb, WI 53572. We discourage cash payments.

Free and Reduced Price Meal Applications are necessary every school year. They may be printed off this website or filled out online at LINQ Connect (coming soon). Please return your completed application to Michelle Denk by email or mail to the Bus Garage, 421 W Garfield St., Mount Horeb, WI 53572. Applications can be filled out at any time during the school year as income changes.
Please fill out the Sharing Information with Other Programs form and include it with your application.

LINQ Lunch Account
Lunch Accounts and Balance Reminders
Online payments may be made using credit cards or checking accounts through LINQ Connect. A standard transaction fee is charged for using the online payment option. You will be notified by email when your student has a low balance. A la carte purchases are not allowed if your student has a negative lunch account balance.

Go to LINQ Connect or download the mobile app:
- To set up an account click on "Register" to create a new account. You will need the following information to link your student(s) to your account:
- First name (as registered with the school)
- Last name (as registered with the school)
- Grade
- School
- Date of birth (MM/DD/YY)
- Add funds using your credit / debit card or electronic check. Please note that the charge for a credit card transaction is 3.95% of your charge (MHASD is absorbing $0.50 of that fee) and an ACH or e-check transaction is $1.80. There is no limit on how much you can deposit per transaction.
- Set up automatic payments and never forget to send in lunch money again.
Meal Information
What makes a meal?
- To make it easier for students to identify a reimbursable meal, we use color-coded signage before the serving line(s).
- Signs are posted in the cafeteria.
- All students must take a fruit or vegetable serving to be counted as a reimbursable meal. Please encourage your child to choose fruits and vegetables at home and at school.
School Breakfast Information

All students in grades K-12 are offered school breakfast daily. Students who choose to take Breakfast should go through the line and choose up to four items (including a milk) for $1.85 (K-5), $2.05 (6-12), or just a milk for $0.45. If a student does not take at least three items, it is not considered a reimbursable meal and their account will be charged for individual items at a la carte pricing. Please encourage your child to take at least three items. The morning nutrition break is free for those who qualify for free OR reduced price meals, but they must take at least three items and one must be a fruit to count as a reimbursable meal. 2025-2026 Breakfast - Available for K-12

Middle/High School Students: It is our practice to allow purchasing of a la carte items on the account unless you have requested that we block or limit these purchases. Please contact Michelle Denk if you would like to block or limit these purchases or set it up on LINQ Connect.
Weekend Meals

We have many families in our community who may be struggling with food insecurity. Currently, 16% of our students are receiving free or reduced price lunches. Mount Horeb Area School District has partnered with Neighbors Helping Neighbors to provide perishable and non-perishable food to families over the weekend.
