Mount Horeb Recreation Department Partnership

Our District has partnered with the local Mount Horeb Recreation Department to better support your healthy lifestyle changes.  This is a cost-effective way to support your health and wellbeing while also supporting the community.  Whether you are a local resident or commute to the District, consider signing up for one of the classes!

What does this partnership mean for you?  Any employee who participates in an approved class is eligible for reimbursement!  There are a few simple steps you must take in order to receive eligibility for reimbursement:

  1. Sign up for an approved class through the Mount Horeb Rec. Department.
  2. When your class begins, fill out the attendance sheet the instructor provides for each session you attend.
  3. After the class ends, fill out the Reimbursement Request Form, attach your paid registration receipt, and submit both items to the Human Resources Team within 30 days of completing the class

Class availability is dependent on the Recreation Department's schedule and staffing, and is subject to change.   For a current listing of approved classes, and to register for classes, please go to the Mount Horeb Rec. Dept page.  Look for the Viking logo to find approved offerings.

Supporting a Coworker in Crisis

An expert contributor of the Wellness Council of WI created this helpful one page mental health reference guide to support employees.  Review the information and share with your colleagues.  This guide is  one way to increase awareness of stigma-free language, learn/remind of warning signs and provides helpful language when approaching a colleague you may be concerned about.
